Recommended as a mountain climbing destination for day hikers and beginner backpackers, Mt. Batulao's name was derived from “Bato sa Ilaw”. It is due to the scene every end of the year wherein the sun sets between its two peaks, forming a brilliant image of rocks.

We choose to take the old trail on our climb to the summit and do a traverse through the new trail.
